Hello, my name is Tina. After stepping away from a successful career, I started to invest my more time into my passions: traveling, cooking, hiking, water sports and practicing yoga. As I have aged, I began to incorporate healthy practices into my life and travels. Hiking is my favorite way to incorporate activity into my travels.
It is important to keep in mind that a healthy life is about balance, so don't be surprised if you see me grabbing a gelato or dining out with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a plate of fried shrimp from time to time! I'm all about listening to my body and nourishing it how it needs.
where do i live?
That's a hard question...I am a St. Louis, MO native, but my husband and I have moved 26 times and have lived in 8 different states. We have homes in Jupiter, FL, Gonzales, LA, and a floating home in Tortola. If you can't already tell, I love to wander the earth! I keep my passport in my purse and a list of places I’d like to go in my wallet. I am always ready for a new adventure or a new culinary experience with family and friends.
Young Baby Boomers experiencing the world, one delicious bite at a time.
Two topics that repeatedly comes up in all my conversations – what are we eating and where are we going. I have a deep, loving relationship with food and travel. They are my second and third passions. My first passion is the people with whom I eat, drink and travel. I want to share my curiosity, energy and enthusiasm for travel and food, to inspire you to visit a new place or try a new recipe. You can find my work on TravelbyVacationRental.com, Adventures.com, ShortWeeksLongWeekends.com, in UpandAway Magazine and on this website.
I come from a family of travel lovers and foodies. I have traveled to 53 countries, 49 US States, and 5 continents. My love of cooking started young, in the kitchens of my grandmothers, one Italian, one German. I married my college sweetie, in part, because he promised we would see the world, and we have. It was been an amazing 42 years. We have 2 incredible children, who love to travel, and four grandsons. You will see them in many of my posts.
